Quiccup Matchplay (for strokeplay scroll down)

Rules and counting system

In a Quiccup game for matchlay and strokeplay the flagstick always stays in the hole and may be hit by the ball without penalty.

If the ball is inside the Quiccup it is considered as ‘holed’.

One or more balls do not need to be removed before another player putts.

Around and on the green, there is no order of play, when all the balls have a chance to be holed and no player has requested to mark a ball. When you are ready you may putt.

In Quiccup Carambole the ball farthest from the hole is played first.

If the ball comes to rest on the outer flap just add one stroke and lift the ball to avoid damage tot he Quiccup.

If the ball comes to rest on the not completely tumbled flap on the inside of the Quiccup the ball  is considered as ‘holed’.

All other normal rules of the golf game are valid.

Game format: matchplay, 2-some, Split sixes, greensome, foursome, 4 ball better ball, against the par of the hole, etc.

Counting: Number of strokes necessary to hole out in the Quiccup.

Optional

If a ball, at a distance of more than 3 meters (10 feet) from the outer ring of the Quiccup is holed straight into the smallcup (regular cup), this stroke does not count. It is a bonus. If a ball has come to rest between the  flagstick and the cup this ball should be removed before others putt.

Optional Quiccup Carambole.

In matchplay: Carambole. If a player caramboles an opponent’s ball, that lies in the Quiccup, into the smallcup,  a stroke is added to the opponent’s  score.
